Backstage Pass: Another Feature of Savvy’s Training Content for Law Firms

Regular followers of the Savvy Blog may notice that we’ve published several articles recently about our SavvySMART Content Library (SSCL). Honestly, we keep hearing from our clients that it’s the best training content for law firms available today. (Awwww shucks!)

In an effort to share yet another remarkable feature of the SSCL, I thought I’d share a recent email that Terry sent out to all subscribers. She does this every Friday – an email chock-full of info about the new content available to subscribers, as well as updates on the horizon. She calls it “The Backstage Pass.” Not only is it info-packed, but it’s also sprinkled with humor.

Does your training content provider communicate with you every week about significant updates to your library? No? Contact Savvy today to learn what GREAT customer service feels like!

A Recent Sample of Terry’s Weekly

Backstage Pass

Google Chrome:

We have completed the Topical Manual, Instructor Manual, Quick Reference Guide, Tutorial and Quiz.

While we don’t anticipate creating other Google content in the near future, I created the following naming convention:

GOOGLE-101: Chrome

This leaves the door open for additional Google courses (such as Docs, Sheets, Calendar, etc.) if/when the situation warrants.

This content is found in the Google folder in the SavvySMART Content Library.  If you use the SavvyAcademy LMS and want this course (and Instructor Guide) added to your portal, please let us know.

MS Teams:

We have expanded our Teams content to include some videos.  These are not the typical SCORM videos that we normally produce, as we’re still keeping an eye on Teams to wait until Microsoft stops fiddling with it(!).  But, we have created four courses in this series, with .mp4 videos and documentation.

Here is a list of the courses:

TEAMS-101: Overview of the Interface

TEAMS-102: Navigating the Interface

TEAMS-103: Managing Conversations with Your Team

TEAMS-104: Managing Meetings in Teams

We also divided up the existing Teams Manual into Topical Manuals to include in each course.  If you use the SavvyAcademy LMS and want these courses, please let us know (and specify Draft or Published, please). Otherwise, the materials can be found in the Microsoft Office 365 > Generic Office 365 Content folder.

We are updating our entire ND series to include the latest enhancements to ndWeb (the cloud DMS).  We’re also writing content for the newest version of ndOffice and ndMail.  I will be announcing those as they are done.

This week, the following course has been fully updated (tutorial, quiz, topical manual, and quick reference guide).

ND-101: Overview/Home Page

If you have NetDocuments content in your SavvyAcademy LMS, we’d like to have a conversation with you about how/when you want your existing content updated.  I’ll reach out with a separate message on this as we get a few more modules finished.

Excel 365:

We completed two more courses for you this week:

E365-206: Collaboration

E365-207: Protection

If you already asked for this content in your SavvyAcademy LMS, it has been copied over for you.

In addition, we have several other Topical Manuals, Quick Reference Guides, and Instructor Manuals constantly flowing into the ShareFile site awaiting the eLearning that goes with them.

These can be found in Microsoft Office 365 > Excel 365 Content in ShareFile.

Kofax Power PDF v.4.0:

The topical manuals and quick reference guides are complete for the newest version of Kofax PDF.  We’re currently in development on the tutorials and quizzes – coming soon!

To find everything that is complete, go to the Kofax Power PDF v.4.0 folder in the master SavvySMART Content Library in ShareFile.

The following is not content we’ve completed yet… rather, it’s an announcement.  We will be working on this material and I thought those of you using iManage might find this interesting.

iManage 10.3 – Q4 Update:

Finally, the classic Tree View is coming in the Q4 release of iManage Work 10.3.  This is what we’ve all been waiting for (makes for an easy transition from FileSite, right?).  Thanks to our dear fri-ent, Maritta, for passing along the following link.  If you use iManage (or are headed that way), you will want to preview what’s coming.  We’ll begin working on new materials to cover the changes to the interface.

Okay, that’s it for now.  Have a great rest of your weekend and we’ll see you back here next week.
