MOYE WHITE TO HOST ETHICS TRAINING ON TECHNOLOGY

CLE Event Encourages Attorneys to Become Tech Savvy

Moye White, a Denver-based business law firm serving clients throughout the United States and internationally, is hosting an ethics CLE titled “Uphold Your Firm’s Professional Duty to be Tech Savvy” on September 25 from 12:00-1:30 p.m. by Doug Striker of Savvy Training & Consulting. Colorado-based attorneys are encouraged to register for the event, as well as law firm technology professionals. Attorney participants will receive a free ethics credit.

The American Bar Association (ABA) recently adopted a change to the Model Rules of Professional Conduct to clarify that lawyers have a duty to be competent not only in the law and its practice but also in technology. The training on September 25 at Moye White will outline a step-by-step process for creating a learning culture in law firms.

“We are always looking for ways we can offer educational events to the legal community in our area,” said Moye White Managing Partner Tom List. “Technology training is an integral part of providing competent representation to any law firm client.”

The event will cover topics on how to integrate a culture of technology in law firms, including ways to:

  • Get buy-in from management
  • Form a technology committee
  • Administer individualized assessments
  • Increase attorney participation
  • Create customized training, and
  • Offer certifications or other competitive incentives.

“If your firm hopes for continued success in the future, it is imperative to create a learning culture today,” said Savvy Training’s Doug Striker. “Our goal with this training is to prepare you to achieve the tech learning goals needed for long-term firm success.”
