Groom Law Group Finds Surprising Value in the SavvySMART Content Library

SavvySMART Content Library

Groom Law Group is a Washington, D.C.-based law firm that is widely recognized among the nation’s leading benefits, health, and retirement law firms. In 2021, the firm subscribed to the SavvyAcademy Learning Management System to support their ongoing training goals.

The SavvyAcademy LMS comes fully loaded with the SavvySMART Content Library (SSCL), a continuously updated, law industry-specific training library. Everything in the SSCL is fully customizable, and subscribers are given the source and published files for every piece of content.

According to Brendan Morales, IT Operations Support at Groom, the Savvy LMS and the content library have come in handy in some surprising ways. Namely: new product rollouts and upgrades.

“Whenever we are rolling out internal software upgrades for our users, I have made a habit to check what Savvy has to offer for training content,” says Morales.

Because the LMS comes fully loaded with the SSCL, Morales has access to over 9,000 (and counting) pieces of training content. That trove came in handy recently.

“We upgraded to Windows 11, and we also introduced Adobe Acrobat Pro DC,” explains Morales. “I quickly realized there are a lot of nuances in the new version. So, I reached out to Katy [Lumley, Savvy’s Chief of Learning Strategies], and I discovered that I already had access to the updated training content I needed! Also, I was able to tailor it to Groom’s needs. That was a huge value-add for us.”

In addition to technology upgrade trainings, Morales uses the LMS to boost employees’ skill sets, which boosts the firm’s overall productivity.

“The Savvy LMS seamlessly integrates with what we need in our day-to-day operations,” says Morales. “And the support at Savvy is fantastic. They are always ready to help me when I have a question.”
