Burness Paull LLC Chooses Savvy Training & Consulting

Client:

  • Laura Cletheroe, IT Trainer, Burness Paull LLP
  • Challenge:

    • Developing and delivering classroom-based training programs for lawyers was proving frustrating for all involved. The firm needed a system to store training materials and to deliver those materials in ways that made sense for busy staff and attorneys.
    • Solution:

      • SavvyAcademy Learning Management System
      • Results:

        • “I remember feeling excited watching the demo as I thought it would be a great fit for us. Other systems that I had seen felt overly complex or not as friendly. SavvyAcademy also has an incredible amount of learning materials on the portal which is great as we can refer to these and use these for our staff.”
        • THE STORY

According to Burness Paull’s IT Trainer, Laura Cletheroe, “Our lawyers wanted training but were often too busy to come to the training room! Many hours were spent organizing sessions with multiple users only to find on the day of the course that half had to cancel due to client commitments, meaning the trainings had to be reorganized. This was all very frustrating both for them and for the trainers. In addition to this, keeping on top of changes to software by means of upgrades or brand new software meant that the challenge of keeping existing materials up-to-date, or creating new materials, was becoming a burden.”

When searching for a learning management system, Laura interviewed many companies, including Savvy Training & Consulting.

“We wanted something informative but straightforward. I enjoyed the Savvy website but when I had the initial demo with Doug and Terry I just warmed to them both. They were incredibly knowledgeable and more importantly, very likeable. They came across as total professionals but at the same time, as people I could see myself dealing with and speaking to even though we are in the UK and they are a U.S. company. I remember feeling excited watching the demo as I thought it would be a great fit for us. Other systems that I had seen felt overly complex or not as friendly. SavvyAcademy also has an incredible amount of learning materials, updated constantly, on the portal which is great as we can refer to these and use these for our staff.”

Initially, Burness Paull rolled out SavvyAcademy to its secretarial and support staff, but is now expanding to fee earners.

“The use of learning paths will be great for us and we have recently started exploring that. There is great potential for us as we learn how to use the system for uploading our own material which we have started to do this year.”
