We are all moving WAY too fast. Honestly, I think half the world’s problems could be solved if everyone would just slow down, take a breath, and THINK before speaking or clicking or moving or accelerating or voting or texting or reacting in any way whatsoever. And that concept would also keep us safer from cybercriminals trying to hack into law firms.
How? If we would all just stop and think before clicking around in our email in-box, we could save ourselves (and our firms) from phishing scams. If we slow down and think critically, we can stop cyberattacks before they happen.
My sons recently went through fire safety training at school and they came home all excited to tell me about “stop, drop and roll.” Of course, we went through about 15 minutes of fun chaos as we all tried it out (over and over). But it got me thinking. If we were willing to “stop, drop, read, delete,” we might save ourselves a lot of headaches.
